Description
The A-B Descender is a multi-use device for industrial rope access, rescue and intervention/ tactical applications. It can be used as a personal descender, a lowering device, or for progress capture in a hauling system, as well as forming part of a rescue kit.
The handle can be used in basic squeeze to go mode, or it can be flipped down for extra leverage and more precision. The handle is spring loaded to return to the storage position when not in use.
The A-B features a Panic Grab Brake (PGB), which will halt the descent if the handle is pulled too hard. The PGB can be disengaged for experienced users, or for those who require a faster descent (eg. Intervention)
The A-B conforms to EN12841-C as a standalone rope adjustment device (descender). It also conforms to EN341/2D (descenders for rescue), which is for use as part of a system and must be used with the type of rope with which it was tested.
